Cooperation between Ukrainian and German businesses as a driver of Ukraine's recovery and growth, the role of Ukrhydroenergo in the energy sector, the challenges the company faced during the war, and the importance of implementing promising projects today are the key issues raised by the CEO during the panel discussion "Ukraine's energy sector - business opportunities in the recovery process".

CEO noted that Ukrhydroenergo, as a modern company, is looking forward and realizes the importance of implementing strategic projects. Therefore, on October 24, memorandum were signed in Berlin with the German company Andritz Hydro on cooperation in the development and implementation of green hydrogen projects in Ukraine and the supply of equipment for the construction of the third stage of the Dniester PSPP.

"We want to start implementing a pilot green hydrogen project of about 10 MW. Without waiting for the war to end. We are planing to start implementing this project this year," emphasized Ihor Syrota.

The head of Ukrhydroenergo also noted that the projects currently being implemented in Ukraine have 50% of the equipment manufactured in Germany. And Germany has a reliable partner in Ukrhydroenergo:

"If the implementation of our projects will cost between $4 and $5 billion, the German government will finance its production by $2.5 billion. Today, such cooperation is beneficial for both sides."

The CEO shared his experience of working during the war, emphasizing that the company did not stop for a single day despite numerous enemy attacks and has been financially stable and solvent for 2 years.

The event was organized within the framework of the German-Ukrainian Energy Partnership on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine with the support of the German Energy Agency (dena) and GIZ Ukraine.
