Warsaw became a platform for productive negotiations between Ukrhydroenergo representatives and international partners, aimed at strengthening cooperation and advancing critical infrastructure projects.

General director Ihor Syrota met with representatives from Andritz Hydro, including regional manager Norbert Schwarz and senior project manager Stefan Kristukat.

During the meeting, various scenarios for the prompt resumption of hydro unit reconstruction at Dnipro HPP were discussed.

Dnipro HPP has suffered the most extensive damage of any hydroelectric station in Ukraine due to Russian missile strikes. Beyond the destruction of machine halls and hydro units, irreparable harm has been inflicted on hydraulic and electrical equipment. Restoring the destroyed capacity will take at least several years, making it essential for Ukrhydroenergo to continue the reconstruction project with Andritz Hydro under these challenging conditions.

Completing the equipment modernization previously initiated by Andritz Hydro at Dnipro HPP will enhance the station’s efficiency and ensure stable operation amid the increased load on Ukraine’s energy system.

"Collaboration with Andritz Hydro is strategically vital for us. Modernizing our facilities not only increases reliability and productivity but also lays a solid foundation for the future development of Ukrainian energy," Ihor Syrota emphasized during the meeting.
