The European Investment Bank and PJSC Ukrhydroenergo: deepening cooperation for post-war recovery
The European Investment Bank continues to actively support Ukraine in the wake of the war. An important milestone in the development of this cooperation was the meeting in Kyiv between top managers of the EIB and Ukrhydroenergo, during which they discussed strategic areas of cooperation in supporting infrastructure projects.
Ihor Syrota, CEO of Ukrhydroenergo, held discussions with the representatives of the EIB Global, the Bank's division responsible for operations outside the EU. In particular, the meeting was attended by Andrew McDowell, General Director of the division, and Lionel Rapaille, Director of Public Sector Lending in the Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood.
The meeting continued with the visit to Dnister PSP. The Plant was visited by Kristina Mikulova, Head of the EIB Regional Representative for Eastern Europe, Aron Kerpel-Fronius, Second Secretary of the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, Victoria Azhdar, Financial Analyst, and Viktor Doroshenko, Key Expert for Ukraine.
Together with Vitaliy Kushnirov, the Member of the Company's Supervisory Board, Mariia Bishko, Deputy CEO for Investment Activities and International Fundraising, and the Plant's Management, the Bank's representatives discussed key areas of cooperation, including the modernisation of hydro power plants, the development of new energy facilities and the implementation of environmental standards.
