Invitation to the Virtual Market Sounding and Consultation Workshop

Under the framework of Part 3 “Contingent Emergency Response Component” of Project 176114 “Ukraine - Improving Power System Resilience for European Power Grid Integration (Installation of Hybrid Systems for Electricity Production in Ukrhydroenergo)”, PJSC “Ukrhydroenergo” (UHE) intends to procure the following equipment:

  • two special generating hall semi-gantry cranes complete with crane runways and a lifting beam for Dnipro Hydroelectric Power Plant-2 (Dnipro-2 HPP) located at Zaporizhzhia, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine.

Semi-gantry cranes are critical items of lifting equipment in the generating hall of Dnipro-2 HPP, which ensure a wide range of maintenance, installation and repair operations necessary for reliable operation of hydro power equipment.

Semi-gantry cranes ensure horizontal movement of heavy loads within the generating hall. Their main purpose is to transport and precisely position turbine and generator equipment, lift and install components and assemblies during their erection, as well as removal and transfer of components during the routine or emergency repairs.

The scope of supply of semi-gantry cranes shall include a set of crane runways, current conductor systems and a lifting beam.

The procurement shall be conducted in accordance with the World Bank rules and procedures.

This consultation is aimed to develop an optimal procurement and implementation strategy keeping in view the market’s readiness to assume risk in light of the current situation in Ukraine and to provide interested companies with an opportunity to raise any concerns regarding the upcoming subject procurement. 

UHE invites potential manufacturers, suppliers, or their authorized representatives to participate in theVirtual Market Sounding and Consultation Workshop via Zoom on August, 6, 2025 at 11:00 Hrs Kyiv, Ukraine time to discuss the realistic and best options of delivery period, terms of delivery, as well as key requirements of the delivery scope of the associated services. The discussion is expected to last no more than 3 Hours. The workshop will be conducted in English, and translation into Ukrainian will be provided for local potential bidders.
