Ukrhydroenergo develops Ukrainian-Japanese business cooperation
On April 15, the Japanese company DENZAI K.K. met with Ukrhydroenergo.
The meeting was attended by President and CEO of DENZAI K.K. Kohki Uemura, Director, Business Development and Administrative Manager Halyna Kukuba and Regional Sales Director Europe Ireneusz Kopka. Ukrhydroenergo was represented by CEO Ihor Syrota, Deputy CEO for Investment and International Finance Maria Bishko, and Deputy CEO for Administration, HR and Procurement Oleksandr Krush. The meeting was attended by Serhiy Nagornyak, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine, Member of the Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency, and member of the Interparliamentary Friendship Group with Japan.
The purpose of the meeting was to develop Ukrainian-Japanese cooperation in the field of energy infrastructure and establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
Member of the Ukrainian Parliament Sergiy Nagornyak spoke about Japan's assistance to Ukraine at the state level and its role in the restoration and development of Ukrainian infrastructure. He expressed hope that Japanese private companies will invest in Ukraine and participate in the restoration of Ukraine, particularly in the energy sector.
Ukrainian engineers described the situation in Ukraine's energy system during the ongoing war and the consequences of enemy attacks on hydropower facilities. The parties discussed the urgent need for critical equipment to restore hydroelectric power plants.
At the end of the meeting, Ihor Syrota thanked the parties for their interest in Ukrhydroenergo and the possibility of developing future cooperation. Kohki Uemura noted that the company is ready to provide services for Ukraine and expressed its intention to cooperate in the near future.
