Ukrhydroenergo held online meeting with OECD representatives
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukrhydroenergo, Valentyn Gvozdiy, together with Supervisory Board members Vitalii Kushnirov and Oleh Terletskyi, held an online meeting with representatives of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
During the discussion, the parties addressed various aspects of the company’s corporate governance system.
Valentyn Gvozdiy presented Ukrhydroenergo’s experience in implementing international corporate governance standards, particularly developing the internal control system covering internal audit, compliance, and risk management. It was noted that the Supervisory Board's independence has positively impacted the efficiency of Ukrhydroenergo’s management processes.
Special attention was devoted to the upcoming competition for the position of Chief Executive Officer. The importance of ensuring a transparent and impartial selection process was emphasised, free from political influence and aligned with OECD best corporate governance practices.
The meeting also focused on the integration of ESG pintegrating company’s business processes. Ukrhydroenergo has already adopted compliance and environmental policies, established an expert group to prepare an ESG strategy, and launched the development of a roadmap that reflects the requirements of European legislation and international standards.
