Interim CEO of Ukrhydroenergo, Bogdan Sukhetskyi, visited the Dniester energy complex — one of Ukraine’s key hydropower facilities that combines the capacities of a hydroelectric power plant (HPP) and a pumped storage power plant (PSPP). As with other major HPPs and PSPPs, the company’s leadership maintains constant attention to its condition, modernization, and safety.

Such visits are a regular practice at Ukrhydroenergo, allowing on-site assessment of facilities, discussions with experts on technical challenges, and engagement with contractors involved in the implementation of strategic projects.
Even during a transformational period for the company, Ukrhydroenergo’s unwavering priorities remain: implementing ongoing projects, rebuild, protecting critical infrastructure, and ensuring Ukraine’s power system is supported by balancing capacities.

This time, the key areas of focus were: preparation for the autumn-winter period, ensuring reliable operation of equipment during peak system loads, and the physical protection of facilities under wartime threats. Current repair works and the progress of the third phase of the Dniester PSPP construction were also discussed.

A significant part of the visit included a meeting with representatives of contracting organizations. Discussions centered around timelines, coordination of actions, and compliance with technical requirements.

“Our task is to preserve the company’s potential, ensure its development, and maintain the smooth operation of all processes. We are working together — on technology, on safety, and on winter readiness. It is a shared responsibility for all of us,” emphasized Bogdan Sukhetskyi.
