Operational update as of August 30th
The average water level of the lower reservoir near the Dnipro HPP stands at 13.72 meters above sea level.
The Kakhovka Reservoir played a pivotal role for four southern regions of Ukraine and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. This is because 40% of water resources were concentrated there out of the six reservoirs.
Water levels in all reservoirs are lower than they were last year during this period. The release of water from the Dnipro reservoirs is associated with the necessity to supply electricity to consumers during the maintenance campaign.
From a technical standpoint, the Hydro Power Plants (HPPs) and Pumped Storage Power Plants (PSPPs) of Ukrhydroenergo are prepared for the autumn-winter period of 2023-2024.
