Discussion on cooperation in the energy sector took place with Geoffrey Pyatt, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Energy, at COP28 UAE
On the sidelines of the 28th Conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28 UAE), Ihor Syrota, CEO Ukrhydroenergo, Valentyn Gvozdiy, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Vitaliy Kushnirov, the member of the Supervisory Board had the opportunity to discuss collaboration in the energy sector with Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Geoffrey Pyatt.
Key aspects of cooperation were discussed, particularly focusing on ensuring energy security in Ukraine. Representatives of Ukrhydroenergo also expressed gratitude for the support provided by the United States in restoring critical infrastructure objects. Considering its strategic significance, they articulated a shared commitment to working together on the reconstruction and development of Ukrainian hydropower.
"I am confident that the issues discussed open up new opportunities for collaboration and joint initiatives in the energy sector aimed at enhancing the resilience and sustainability of Ukraine's energy sector," noted Valentyn Gvozdiy, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukrhydroenergo.
