During a working visit to the Kaniv HPP, Ihor Syrota, the CEO of Ukrhydroenergo, inspected the station's equipment and met with department heads
An extended meeting was also held with the station's management and subcontracting organizations to discuss technical issues related to the equipment's renewal and modernization.
"We are conducting checks to ensure the readiness of the equipment, hydro-technical structures, production and service premises, as well as transportation and communication means of the Kaniv Hydroelectric Power Station for the upcoming autumn-winter period of 2023-2024. In addition to equipment reconstruction, repairs of production premises are also underway," noted Vasil Hryn, the director of the Kaniv HPP during the meeting.
Ihor Syrota emphasized the need to consolidate the efforts of hydro-energy specialists and subcontracting organizations for a high-quality maintenance campaign:
"We all understand, taking into account last year's experience, what we need to prepare for. Yes, it will be challenging. But despite all the challenges, we must be thoroughly prepared. I believe that together we can ensure the stability of the energy system."
