Energy Transformation on the Agenda in Davos
Valentin Gvozdiy, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukrhydroenergo, participated in a discussion on sustainable infrastructure, organized by the Financial Times on the sidelines of the economic forum in Davos.
After the event, he met with Kadri Simson, the European Commissioner for Energy.
The conversation focused on the development of energy in Europe, with an emphasis on the importance of hydropower and energy hubs in the future energy mix of Ukraine.
Mr. Gvozdiy also introduced Ms. Simson to the European-Ukrainian Hub of Energy Transformation (EUETH) project.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board emphasized the importance of these initiatives in increasing Ukraine's energy independence and resilience. He also expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for her support of Ukraine, especially considering the challenging times for the Ukrainian energy infrastructure during the war.
The event brought together top participants, including Dolf van den Brink, CEO of Heineken, Andrés Gluski, President and CEO of AES, Stanley Porter, Global Leader of Energy, Resources, and Industrials at Deloitte Global, and Matthias Rebellius, Member of the Managing Board, CEO of Smart Infrastructure at Siemens AG.
