European-Ukrainian Energy Transformation Hub (EUETH) presented in the European Commission
EUETH, initiated by the Institute for Climate, Energy, and Mobility (IKEM) and supported by the Bill Gates Foundation's Breakthrough Energy, brought together leading experts worldwide to introduce innovative technologies and modernize Ukraine's energy sector.
The event received high praise and support from Maroš Šefčovič, Executive Vice President of the European Commission, and Yulia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
Valentyn Gvozdiy, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukrhydroenergo, emphasized the importance of the initiative: "The European-Ukrainian Hub for Energy Transformation is a key element in the development and implementation of new approaches to energy aimed at achieving climate neutrality."
The opening of the EUETH office in Kyiv was also announced during the event, demonstrating the project's long-term commitment to strengthening Ukraine's energy independence and its transition to a green economy.
Ukrhydroenergo notes the value of the EUETH research findings, which highlight the need for further hydropower development in Ukraine, modernization of existing and development of new hydropower facilities by the highest environmental standards.
