Hydroelectric power plants Ukrhydroenergo once again ensured the reliable operation of Ukraine's power system
On June 27, starting from 13:30, the first unit of the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant was shut down due to technical reasons.
In order to maintain the frequency of the Integrated Power System (IPS) of Ukraine, the dispatchers of NPC Ukrenergo took appropriate measures to utilise all available reserves in the country's power system.
To compensate for the lost power in the IPS of Ukraine, all available manoeuvring capacities of Ukrhydroenergo were utilised.
As a result of the commands issued by NPC Ukrenergo's dispatchers, Ukrhydroenergo's hydroelectric power plants achieved the necessary capacity, ensuring the safety and reliable operation of the IPS of Ukraine.
Consequently, on June 27, 2023, the excess electricity generation amounted to 63%.
