The leadership of Ukrhydroenergo met with representatives of the World Bank on the sidelines of COP-28
Today, within the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28), the CEO Ukrhydroenergo Ihor Syrota, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukrhydroenergo Valentyn Gvozdiy and board member Vitaliy Kushnirov held a meeting with Charles Cormier, the World Bank's Regional Director for Infrastructure in Europe and Central Asia.
They discussed the possibilities of strategic cooperation for developing Ukrhydroenergo projects in the context of climate change mitigation. Mr. Syrota thanked the World Bank for supporting the company during this challenging time. Mr. Cormier expressed readiness to support energy projects to reduce emissions and promote sustainable development. It's worth noting that Ukrhydroenergo has been collaborating with the World Bank since 1996. Projects for the rehabilitation and modernization of equipment are being implemented with the help of obtained loans, and the preparatory stage for a project to install hybrid energy storage systems at the company's stations is underway.
