Meeting of Ukrhydroenergo leadership with the head of the Energy Community: collaboration in rebuilt and legal matters
Ihor Syrota, CEO of Ukrhydroenergo, Valentin Gvozdiy, Chairman of the Supervisory board, Vitaliy Kushnirov, board member, held a meeting with the Director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community, Arthur Lorkowski, discussed prospects for collaboration. The meeting took place during the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference — COP28 UAE.
Specifically, they examined aspects of interaction outlined in the memorandum between Ukrhydroenergo and the Energy Community, aimed at providing assistance in the recovery and reconstruction of energy infrastructure, as well as support in restoration.
Additionally, the importance of addressing legal issues, particularly finding an optimal path for justice and compensation for damages resulting from severe environmental consequences caused by the destruction of the Kakhovska HPP, was emphasized. These issues are crucial for ensuring responsible and effective regulation of the situation and restoring stability in the energy sector.
