Operational information as of July 3

Ukrhydroenergo and the design institute are working on options to ensure the operation of the Dnipro HPP in Zaporizhzhia - without restrictions and at full capacity.

The Kakhovka reservoir has become catastrophically shallow after flooding caused by the Russian occupiers' blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station. The Dnipro returned to its old channel, and the bottom of the reservoir turned into a desert.
Ukrhydroenergo and the design institute are developing a project for temporary water retaining structures (bridges) at the Kakhovka reservoir in the upper and lower sections. This project will also help solve water supply problems in four regions of Ukraine and Crimea and return maneuvering capacities to regulate peak loads, including solar and wind power plants in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

Ukrhydroenergo also continues to work on preparing HPPs and PSPPs for the autumn-winter period of 2023-2024. In particular, the company continues to restore the capacities lost as a result of rocket attacks, taking into account security issues.
