The average level of the lower pool at the Dnipro HPP dam is 11.68 m BS. The plant's hydroelectric units are operating according to the schedule set by the dispatcher. Due to the destruction of the Kakhovka HPP and low water levels, there are capacity constraints.
Ukrhydroenergo and the design institute are looking for solutions to ensure that Dnipro HPP can operate at full capacity and provide the power system with balancing capacities before the start of the heating season.
A large-scale repair campaign at HPPs and PSPs Ukrhydroenergo in preparation for the autumn-winter season and Restoration Program. This is necessary for the efficient operation of the plants. After all, hydro generation covers peak loads, regulates the frequency and power of the grid, and provides a mobile emergency reserve in the integrated power system of Ukraine.
