Representatives of Ukrhydroenergo visited the hydroelectric power station in Artvin, Turkey
The Artvin HPP project was implemented by the Turkish company Dogus Construction.
This impressive hydro facility is built into the rock. It is an arch-gravity dam, 180 meters high. Nearly 1 million cubic meters of concrete were used for the dam's construction. The installed capacity of the station is 332 MW, with 2 turbines. The construction took about 4.5 years and cost around 980 million USD, including roads spanning 27 km and 13 tunnels.
During the station's inspection, experts from Ukrhydroenergo familiarized with the construction technologies of the HPP station, new cofferdam technologies, and modern equipment.
In particular, the Ukrainian and Turkish sides exchanged experience in operating their hydro facilities.
