The agreement provides for the engagement of an independent international consultant, in line with the EIB requirements, to ensure proper preparation and management of procurement procedures in accordance with international standards. The consultancy support will facilitate efficient and timely procurement of hydromechanical equipment, help mitigate project risks, and contribute to the successful achievement of the project objectives.

“The European Investment Bank has been a long-standing and reliable partner of Ukrhydroenergo. We sincerely appreciate the Bank’s continued support, particularly in implementing recovery projects during the war. Much work still lies ahead, and we are pleased to continue this cooperation. It is thanks to the support and trust of our international partners that Ukraine’s recovery continues, and projects that are essential for both people and economy receive the backing they need,” said Bogdan Sukhetskyi, CEO of Ukrhydroenergo.

“Hydropower is one of the cornerstones of Ukraine’s energy system and plays a vital role in the country’s recovery. The EIB remains committed to supporting Ukraine not only through financing but also by providing technical expertise that helps turn investments into tangible and lasting results,” said EIB Vice-President Karl Nehammer, who is responsible for the Bank’s operations in Ukraine.
