This was stated by Yulia Tolchinina-Burunska, Director of the Legal Department at Ukrhydroenergo, during her speech at the panel "Energy Trends and Disputes in the Current Geopolitical and Energy Transition Context" at the Paris Arbitration Week conference.
Ukrhydroenergo is developing a high-level litigation and arbitration strategy to recover damages and hold the russian side accountable for the targeted attacks on the company's infrastructure and assets.
Ms Tolchinina-Burunska also noted that no employees were injured in the attacks due to the company's security policy. At the same time, she expressed concern about the lack of effective international mechanisms that would allow the Russian Federation to be held accountable and to secure compensation for damages.
