Ukrhydroenergo Offers Flexible Terms on the Bilateral Contracts Market: New Payment Rules at UEЕ
On October 24, 2024, Ukrhydroenergo will participate in the Ukrainian Energy Exchange auction to sell electricity for delivery from November 1 to 30, 2024. This time, the company is offering buyers new, more flexible payment contract terms.
Under the new rules, payments for electricity will be made daily. This is a significant relaxation compared to previous terms, which required full prepayment and imposed strict penalties for failure to withdraw the contracted amount.
"We had some of the strictest payment terms on the market for purchased electricity. We required full prepayment and applied penalties for non-withdrawal, but we never reduced the contracted output throughout our time on the market. This proves our reliability as a supplier," said Bohdan Sukhetskyi, Deputy General Director of Ukrhydroenergo for Commercial Affairs.
Given the significant rise in electricity prices, the company offered buyers more comfortable conditions to encourage cooperation in an unstable market environment. Ukrhydroenergo expects high interest in the November trades and hopes that the new rules will simplify the payment process and enhance the efficiency of the energy market.
These steps are part of the company's strategy to ensure a stable electricity supply, even in challenging market conditions, and to promote the development of transparent and competitive sales mechanisms.
