Operational information as of December 14
Progress of the heating season and restoration:
After major repairs and reconstruction, three hydro units have been put into operation. Thus, 62.5 MW have been added to the Power System.
A large-scale repair campaign continues at the Ukrhydroenergo stations, along with implementing a program to restore necessary equipment of critical infrastructure. Also, work on physical protection in wartime is ongoing at the branches.
The situation in the energy system:
The situation in the power system is stable and controlled. All generations are working to ensure electricity consumption. This has been achieved thanks to a successfully conducted repair campaign.
HPPs and PSPPs continue to provide the Ukrainian energy system with balancing capabilities. From the point of view of energy supply during the heating season - winters in Ukraine have never been easy. Therefore, hydrogeneration has always been and remains a reserve of capacity, thanks to the resources of the Dnipro and Dniester rivers.
There is no electricity shortage.
The application of restrictions in electricity supply is not currently planned in any region. All restrictions today are dictated solely by weather conditions or military actions.
Consumers are requested to save electricity. Do not use energy-intensive devices during peak hours. This will help the critical infrastructure workers: doctors, utility workers, and the military.
