The situation in the hydropower sector as of 17 January

 Due to the cold snap, Ukrhydroenergo's HPPs and PSPPs operate at maximum capacity to cover peak consumption levels.

 There are 81 hydroelectric units in operation. According to the schedule, some are out of service for major and minor repairs.

The company's branches are ready to deploy "Islands of Heat and Light" (heating points) if necessary.

The general situation in the power system:

Consumption is increasing due to the cold snap. The deficit in the power system is about 5%.
It is crucial to consume electricity rationally. 

We urge you not to overload the power system, especially during peak consumption hours (from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00).
