Ukrhydroenergo delegation discusses hydroelectric power plant rehabilitation projects with EBRD.
At the meeting, the Ukrhydroenergo delegation discussed with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) representatives a roadmap for potential procurement, the upcoming initiation of a state guarantee for the loan, and some aspects of the terms of the future international agreement on implementing the Emergency Hydropower Rehabilitation Project.
The negotiations made it possible to agree on a number of issues important for the potential implementation of the project.
In addition, the parties also discussed the current state of implementation of existing joint projects.
Concluding the discussion, Ihor Syrota, the General Manager of Ukrhydroenergo, delivered an update on the current progress of the initiatives aimed at restoring the hydropower facilities and equipment that had been adversely affected by missile attacks. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the EBRD representatives for their swift response to the meeting and for their consistent and unwavering support extended to Ukraine during this challenging period.
As a reminder, on June 21, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, EBRD President Audrey Renaud-Basso in London, and Ukrhydroenergo CEO Ihor Syrota signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Ukraine, Ukrhydroenergo, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on joint measures to prepare a project for the emergency restoration of hydroelectric power plants.
