Ukrhydroenergo has become a member of IHA
Ukrhydroenergo has become a member of the International Hydropower Association (IHA), a non-profit international organization representing the global hydropower sector.
"We are pleased to welcome Ukrhydroenergo and hope that our network, which includes operators, developers, manufacturers and consultants, will support them in the reconstruction and maintenance of capacities in Ukraine," said IHA CEO Eddie Rich.
In his address, the general director of Ukrhydroenergo noted that the company is honoured to join the association in this difficult time for the country. And he emphasized the consequences of destroying the Ukrainian energy system after enemy shelling forced Ukrainian energy workers to restore and rebuild hydrogeneration facilities quickly.
"The world community has provided and continues to provide support to Ukraine in the struggle for independence. Joining the International Hydropower Association provides access to a network of leading hydropower organizations, governments, research centres and companies. This gives us a unique opportunity to establish partnerships, exchange experience, and collaborate on joint projects with colleagues around the world."
Ihor Syrota also noted that Ukrhydroenergo has a unique experience that no other company in the industry has in the world - in particular, how to ensure the full-fledged operation of the company during massive missile attacks and fulfil all obligations to consumers and partners and is ready to share it experience with association members.
As a member of the association, the company will access technical, economic and legal expertise and unprecedented support for implementing hydropower projects.
"By joining IHA, we will become part of a powerful international community that influences the development of the industry and contributes to a sustainable energy future!", noted Ihor Syrota.
